A scientific statement about the world can be wrong or right. In principle, we can try to justify the statement or criticise it. Is it possible to justify a statement in such a way that it is absolutely valid? Does an empirical scientific statement that cannot conceivably be wrong say anything at all about the world?

The fact that reality exists and that we can learn something about it by mentally processing our sensory impressions cannot be strictly proven. Should we then only talk about our perceptions in science, without reference to the outside world?
